Book a website review

Is your website a bit of a sh*t show?

If it is, it’s not doing your business any favours. It should be visible and working hard at attracting your audience. And it should be clear who that audience is.

First impressions count. If your site looks dated and uses a theme that hasn’t been refreshed since you first had it made, that tells your visitor all they need to know about your brand.

Here are the things I’m looking at:

  • Branding
  • Consistency
  • Fonts
  • Site template
  • Images

User experience (UX)

Google has made UX king in its algorithm update. If your site functionality is shocking, you may as well pack up and go home.

Here are the things I’m looking at:

  • Layout
  • Access to information/products/services
  • CTAs
  • Loading times
  • Interactivity
  • Page stability
  • Use of pop-ups
  • Mobile optimisation

Content is still a big deal, that is unlikely to change. If your website is littered with typos and is poorly written, that will make people leave your site quicker than you can say “god-awful homepage”.

Here are the things I’m looking at:

  • Tone
  • Language style
  • Audience focused copy
  • Keyword usage
  • Grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Quality of content
  • Mixed media used

Other points

  • Blog and blog sign-up
  • SSL certificate
  • GDPR compliant
  • Privacy policy
  • Terms of service
  • Customisations
  • Permalink structures
  • Meta title tags and descriptions
  • SEO image titles
  • Link building

Once I have made my assessment I will write up a detailed report. This will include my appraisal and recommendations.

Please note this is not specifically a technical SEO audit. This is about getting better, overall SEO website health.
